How does an environmentalist become an aerial imagery data analytics and AI entrepreneur? Find out in this episode with Al Eisaian, a serial entrepreneur from the mobile apps and software space, and the founder of IntelinAir.
IntelinAir combines images captured from airplanes with other data to help farmers identify problem areas in their fields and make decisions that can reduce the burden of their activities on the environment, such as reducing pesticide or water usage.
It can also importantly help increase the efficiency and therefore the bottom line of those farming businesses that typically operate on very tight margins.
Al is a deep thinker and wants to see digital ag scale across the world including in developing nations. He’s also very pragmatic when it comes to how fast these tools will scale, arguing that he chose not to gain investment from typical Silicon Valley venture capitalists as their exit timelines were unlikely to be realistic. He also doesn’t eat breakfast, which I’m discovering few people do these days!
A dive into farmtech this week and I hope you enjoy it!
