Job Summary
MycoWorks is seeking a Aseptic Systems and Sanitation Lead to set up systems to ensure a sterile environment in our production facility. The candidate should have experience in sanitation within food, pharmaceutical, or mushroom cultivation industries. The role is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and sterility in our manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage sanitation protocols and procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Provide guidance and develop technical expertise in appropriate personnel concerning sanitation and hygienic design and controls
- Provide direction and support the daily management and work prioritization of sanitation responsibilities, coordinating with plant operations teams to incorporate sanitation requirements into daily activities
- Collaborate with relevant departments to define sanitation activities and resources needed to ensure the completion of the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS). Audit MSS and complete RCA on any issues identified.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of sanitation supplies and ensure timely procurement.
- Respond promptly to any sanitation-related issues or emergencies.
- Monitor and document sanitation activities, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules for all areas of the facility.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials.
- Work closely with quality assurance to ensure all products meet strict sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a sanitation management role within food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or similar industries.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation standards, sterility protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other relevant safety and sanitation standards.
- Experience with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities.
- Ability to develop and deliver training programs for plant personnel.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate sanitation records.
- Strong analytical skills to assess and improve sanitation processes.
