Creating a healthy, humane, and sustainable food supply
The Good Food Institute (GFI) is on the forefront of the movement to use food technology and markets to solve some of the world’s biggest problems, from climate change and global hunger to antibiotic efficacy and the exploitation of billions of animals annually. The Good Food Institute’s Director of International Engagement has a critical role in ensuring that a good food future develops around the world. At GFI, you will build and lead a global team that works with top entrepreneurs, scientists, business leaders, and government officials—all with a laser focus on developing healthy, humane, and sustainable alternatives to factory-farmed animal products.
How You Will Make a Difference
As GFI’s Director of International Engagement, you will build and manage a team that spans Europe, China, India, Latin America, and beyond and is committed to stopping climate change and developing humane and sustainable foods for a rapidly growing global population. You will empower innovators around the globe and build international partnerships that will enable us to transform agriculture away from the use of animals and toward plant-based and “clean meat” alternatives by:
- Managing all aspects of the International Engagement Department, including supervising staff, overseeing department budgeting and spending, and providing visionary leadership.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating outreach plans to engage professors and students at top research universities.
- Supporting mission-aligned initiatives and startup companies globally.
- Working with international governments, businesses, and investors.
- Building a dynamic team that will replicate and further develop GFI’s most successful projects and bring our mission to the world.
Above all, you will be responsible for directing the organization’s international work and generating innovative ideas that will motivate individuals and companies to pursue plant-based and clean food technologies and products.
