About the role
Due to our continued growth in Australia and substantial funding, we are now seeking an outstanding Agronomist to join the team.

The Sales Agronomist’s role is to provide ongoing expertise and technical support to Ceres Imaging’s clients. Ultimately, the Sales Agronomist will ensure each client’s farming enterprise is optimising Ceres’ products via on-ground support, training and technical guidance.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Being the trusted advisor to our growers, strengthening relationships with Ceres current clients.
    Pursuing new client opportunities across different locations and crop types in Australia.
    Actively seek out new business development opportunities (trade shows, conferences) to meet clients, partners and key industry influencers and discuss Ceres impact on farming enterprises.
    Coordinate and evaluate field trials relating to plant health, nutrition and water stress.
    Work closely with farm managers, irrigation managers, client agronomists and field teams to ensure Ceres’ imagery is contributing to improved yield and resource management.

Skills & Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Agronomy, Agriculture or posses equivalent work experience
    Existing relationships with large growers
    Relevant agriculture experience in irrigated crops.
    Experience working in a fast paced, startup environment, or an desire to be a part of one.
    Deep understanding of agriculture business and specifically plant nutrition.
    Commercially astute, with the ability to build rapport and sell to farmers.
