Startup activity in agtech has grown dramatically over the past few years; at AgFunder alone, we’ve come across over 5k companies since 2014.
The number of entrepreneurs tackling the food and agriculture industry continues to grow; in our MidYear 2016 report we recorded 7% growth in the number of deals compared to the first half of 2015, and the number of investors climbed 52% year-over-year.
There is huge diversity in agtech as the different subsectors within the space grow and change as the overall industry matures.
So, to ensure the innovators driving the industry forward get the recognition and encouragement they deserve, we are launching the AgFunder Innovation Awards. These are peer-selected awards based on nominations from our network.
For the 2016 AgFunder Innovation Awards there are five categories:
– Most Disruptive US Startup Pre-Series A
– Most Disruptive US Startup Series A and Beyond
– Most Disruptive International Startup Pre-Series A
– Most Disruptive International Startup Series A and Beyond
– Most Valuable Accelerator Program
To ensure you have your say and to submit nominations in each of these categories, please fill out this short form. It takes less than 2 minutes to complete!
Rules: One vote per person. Startups can nominate themselves in the relevant category; please do not insert your startup into all categories as this nomination will be excluded. We require a couple of basic details to verify submissions, which will be kept strictly confidential.
The deadline for nominations is 11:59 pm PT on December 9, and the winners will be announced the following week.
Good luck!
