Over the last few years we have witnessed the explosive growth of the innovation landscape in Latin America; as well as the region’s potential for providing real solutions for the world’s agrifood industry. Investors have become increasingly interested in the significant opportunities this region poses.
At Glocal, a leading agrifoodtech acceleration and investment fund, and pioneer in sustainable investing in Latin America, we are very much aware of this.
The vision
We understand the importance of addressing the challenges that the ag and food industry faces by driving the development of startups — and innovation in companies and organizations — that can improve world’s nutrition through sustainable production systems.
Most investors understand that focusing on creating cutting-edge solutions that generate positive social, economic, and environmental impact is a must nowadays – and not just a nice-to-have.
Become the next Game Changer
We have just launched the Glocal Game Changers LatAm Series 2022. More than 400 startups applied to last year’s edition, and we have high hopes that this year will be better than ever. You can apply here by June 15.
The program fosters startups’ growth by providing them with the expertise of our team, partner network, mentors, and early adopters within the framework of a specially designed methodology. Our dynamic program not only makes participating startups gain visibility in the region, but also provides them with valuable insight, follow-up, and knowhow as well as specialized training and links with companies and potential investors from our network. After a selection process, applicants will have the opportunity to access an investment ticket that goes up to $500,000.
Vast experience in agribusiness, a 16 company-strong portfolio that extends from farm-to-fork, an expert investment committee, and an understanding of emerging markets and global adoption trends are key factors when making impactful decisions. On a mission to discover the future disruptors of the food system — those willing to make substantial contributions to the betterment of the agrifoodtech industry — Glocal is set to guide future Game Changers to scale their business and enter the global scene.
What we’re looking for & who should apply
Glocal is looking for startups that can offer solutions applicable to the whole food supply chain, such as traceability platforms, marketplaces, alternative foods, carbon neutrality, water management, climate tech, ag biotech, and ag fintech.
Startups that want to apply can do so here. The application period closes on June 15.
