Agtech Funding Sheet: Otto Robotics Raises $1.5m, Organic Chicken Processor Raises $2.7m, Diet to Go Raises $500k, more

AgriMetis, a crop protection spin-off from healthcare innovation firm Acidophil, closed a $23.5 million Series B in an oversubscribed round led by Anterra Capital. Learn more about the round and the healthcare VC that joined it in our recent interview with company CEO Steve Tuttle.

FarmLogs, a decision support and ERP software tool for farmers, raised $22 in Series C funding with new investor Naspers Ventures, the venture arm of the South African media conglomerate. Existing investors Drive CapitalHuron River VenturesHyde Park Venture PartnersSV Angel and Sam Altman, president of Y Combinator, also joined the round. Kuli Kuli, the leading manufacturer and distributor of superfood Moringa in the US and AgFunder alum, raised a $4.25 million Series A funding from eighteen94 Capital, the venture investment arm of Kellogg Company. The funding represents eighteen94 Capital’s first investment from the recently formed fund. Read more about the funding in our recent article.

Otto Robotics, a startup innovating automated systems to support food prep and delivery, raised a $1.5 million in funding led by seed-stage venture capital firm Draper Associations and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen’s venture firm, Vulcan Capital.

Shenandoah Valley Organic, an organic chicken production company, closed a $2.7 million growth funding in a round led by S2G Ventures and other investors. Read more about the funding and how the company plans to use it in our recent article.

Diet to Go, an Italian meal delivery service, raised €430k ($500k) in seed funding from local venture capital firm  Innogest. The startup, which delivers a bag of fresh meals every day cooked by expert chefs and dietists, intends to use the capital to continue to develop the tech platform, its menu, and diet personalization features.

EZ Cater, an online platform for businesses to order catering, has raised $35 million in Series C funding in a round led by global family office Iconiq Capital and New York-based PE firm Insight Venture Partners.
