Agtech startups will be coming from all over California to pitch their solutions to a panel of growers and investors at the AgTech Meetup in Salina on January 22. This free, open-to-the-public meeting will be held in the Rodeo Room of the Salinas California Rodeo Grounds (Salinas Sports Complex) to determine what growers need for future advancements and to showcase the variety of ag tech solutions that investors have the opportunity to be involved in.
“Ag Technology is the next up and coming industry and there are a variety of solutions that provide investors enough deal flow to really impact the marketplace.” Stated Aaron Magenheim of Ag Tech Insight.
Beginning at 6:00pm on January 22, start-ups will have two minutes to explain their product to a panel of investors and growers (row crops, berries, and vineyards). This local “Shark Tank” meeting will determine a winner to receive $100 and a chance to continue discussing their solution with investors. Those interested in pitching need to register their company by January 19th to agtechstartup.com. Participants will be announced on January 20th.
It is suggested that anyone interested in attending this event to please RSVP at meetup.com/agtech to ensure enough refreshments.
