Summer’s hot but the funding is not—at least not this week in agrifoodtech, where just a handful of capital raises graced the headlines. On the other hand, M&A saw a surge of activity, including the completion of the heavily delayed merger between Bunge and grain network Viterra.

In CPG land, Mars launched a “sustainability solutions fund” to address carbon emissions. The company has not, at last check, made steps to remove synthetic dyes from its products.

Finally, Olo, one of the darlings of the pandemic-era restaurant-tech boom, announced this week it would once again become a private company.
