The new year started with new fundraises from India-based nutraceutical startup Botanic Healthcare and agriculture-focused data science company Fermata.

Meanwhile, Ohalo teamed up with farmers in Florida to develop a “disease-resistant strawberry,” Bayer and Neste launched an initiative for renewable fuel, and vertical farming company Plenty is reportedly in talks for a more than 90% value cut.
