- US farm data company Ag-Analytics has acquired land research and evaluation platform AcreValue from Granular, a subsidiary of Corteva Agriscience.
- The acquisition includes the AcreValue’s product, tech, and team, according to a statement sent to AFN.
- Ithaca, New York-based Ag-Analytics has also struck partnerships with Farmer Mac, a secondary market for US agricultural credit, and online ag marketplace Indigo. These companies will use the combined platforms to further their respective lending and carbon-related offerings.
Why it matters:
AcreValue is a popular option when it comes to research and data on farmland, with the platform providing information on everything from soil to crop history to the value of a piece of land. Combined access to Ag-Analytics and AcreValue means farmers and landowners will get more comprehensive data on things like land productivity and sustainability metrics.

Ag-Analytics already has data partnerships with platforms including Esri, Climate FieldView, John Deere Operations Center, and CNH Industry.
“Through the combination of AcreValue and Ag-Analytics, farmers and landowners will be able to instantly connect with powerful land analytics, profitability mapping, and our network of services to better manage their assets and steward their resources,” Ag-Analytics CEO Josh Woodard said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Farmer Mac and Indigo will be able to use the combined platforms to create new financing and carbon farming opportunities for growers.
