The World Agri-Tech Investment Summit is now accepting submissions for the Technology Showcase at its event in San Francisco on March 16 – 17, 2016. Selected companies will present to a panel of agtech investors in a Shark Tank-style format.
Presenting companies will be given a few minutes to showcase their technology, market strategy, investment needs and future plans to an audience of agtech startup peers, technology scouts, global agribusinesses, venture capital, private equity investors and international equipment manufacturers. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
“Participation in every World Agri-Tech Investment summit saves VitalFields around 2 months of networking, and allows us to connect with the most active investors in the agtech sector,” said Martin Rand, CEO of Vital Fields, a European startup which has presented at the event.
TerViva, an AgFunder alumnus, also found value presenting at the event. “This event convened the “who’s who” of the space, in a way that allowed for lots of interaction – from the sessions to the breakout rooms,” said Naveen Sikka, CEO. “We were able to reconnect with the existing leaders in our space and meet the new investors taking their first plunge into agtech.”
This is World Agri-Tech’s second event in San Francisco, and fifth globally. And this year’s agenda will focus on the following key themes:
Global Alliances Shaping the Future of Agriculture
Operator and Farm Cooperative-Led Innovation Platforms
A Sustainable Strategy for Growth: Disrupting the Status Quo at Scale
State of the Art in Aggregating Precision Technologies?
Big Industry Moving Into Agriculture
