Imagine the future of UK agritechnology. Now make it real.

The future of agritechnology? You’re looking at it. The Royal Agricultural University’s Farm491 – a pioneering new agriculture-focused technology start-up facility. Here, within 491 hectares of farmland available for research and testing, we provide a unique space where entrepreneurs can launch and grow their innovative and disruptive businesses.

Think of it as a hothouse: a vibrant hub of co-working where learning, imaginative ideas, mentoring and networking come together to drive the development of new products and new business concepts. Those who choose to launch their enterprises here will enjoy a fantastic knowledge and support network including farmers, fellow entrepreneurs, investors and academics. There’s also full access to historic data, research, equipment and resources to test, refine and grow their business propositions.

Now play your part in making it all happen. Firstly, by forging strong relationships across the agritechnology sector to ensure a constant flow of start-ups to Farm491. And also by acting as a thought leader within the University: someone who can connect cutting-edge agritechnology innovations and technology with the solutions we need for today’s agricultural problems.

Through all of this, you will drive our EU funded “Inspiring Agritechnology Innovation” programme forward as you set the business plan, support academic activities and create alliances with leading technology and agricultural organisations.

A real passion for supporting business start-ups and incubations is a must, combined with proven experience of business development and a sound understanding of the current issues facing the agri-technology, agricultural and rural sectors. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit, you also have the ability to develop an inspiring vision for business opportunity – and to take people with you on the journey.

So it’s over to you. Shape the future of agritechnology. Create a space where anything is possible. Send your CV and covering letter to [email protected] with ‘IAI Programme Manager’ in the subject line.

Closing date: Friday 14 July 2017.
