The Good Food Institute (GFI) is on the forefront of the movement to use food technology and markets to solve some of the world’s biggest problems, from climate change and global hunger to antibiotic efficacy and the exploitation of billions of animals annually. GFI’s Operations and Development Coordinator will provide effective, accurate, and timely support to the individuals who power our work and essential administrative services to support a good food future.

How You Will Make a Difference
As GFI’s Operations and Development Coordinator, you will work behind the scenes to provide high quality customer service to our valued supporters, process the donations that empower our mission, and coordinate systems that ensure the organization runs smoothly. You will be an essential member of the team and will assist in transforming agriculture by:

  • Managing gift processing workflow: processing all incoming donations and generating all gift-related correspondence, including documenting and ensuring detailed and accurate gift tracking, allocation, and timely acknowledgment.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for general development and gift-related inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Assisting with the implementation of a new, agency-wide CRM database and coordinating the data migration process.
  • Processing general office payment requests and staff reimbursement requests.

We are seeking smart, thoughtful, and creative self-starters who want to push back against climate change, transform industrial animal agriculture, and develop healthy and humane foods that are accessible to everyone.

Providing a high level of support and data analysis for GFI’s team will require a friendly, positive, and customer service oriented personality; excellent written and verbal communication skills; a highly organized and meticulous nature; affection for data and experience with data analysis; scrupulous attention to detail; savvy computer skills; and enthusiasm about GFI’s mission. You will enjoy a high level of autonomy in this role and must be self-motivated, work well both independently and in concert with a larger group, and be comfortable working within a rapidly evolving and growing team.

We are considering candidates who possess a bachelor’s degree with preferred focus on public relations, nonprofit management, or business management, and a minimum of one year’s work experience in a related field, preferably nonprofit, customer service, or accounting/bookkeeping. Experience with donor databases and/or Quickbooks preferred.
