SunCulture is looking for a Director of Business Development to drive the strategy for channel sales and develop relationships with channel partners. SunCulture is expanding its channel sales segment. It needs a Director of Business Development to develop the strategy for channel sales and to build and manage relationships with channel partners. SunCulture’s growth and this role will be in charge of driving 40% of SunCulture’s revenue

This is a highly rewarding role for someone who is eager to develop strategy, as well as create and shape a department. Someone who works well with direction but minimal details will excel in this role. Detailed Responsibilities:

Channel sales strategy development

Studies characteristics of clients in SunCulture’s portfolio and categorizes into different market segments
Sets up systems and processes to approach and develop strategic partnerships with different market segments and channels and across different countries
Develops strategy to identify, assess and qualify new potential leads
Relationship management

Nurtures, builds and manages relationships with existing and new clients, sits with clients in their premises seeking to understand their needs and how best to serve them
Understands the nuances of working and forming relationships with people across multiple countries and different cultures
Active listener who seeks to figure out what motivates prospective clients and uses this knowledge to form a connection and build a partnership
B2B consultative sales

Leverages understanding of client needs, challenges and preferences in order to identify how SunCulture can service them
Understands SunCulture’s value proposition and is able to articulate this is line with the needs and preferences of the client
Works with other team members to develop packages that respond to client’s needs and preferences to sustain long-term partnerships; uses this process to inform channel sales strategy

You have 8-15 years experience in business development
Experience in B2B sales
Experience in creating sales strategy
Experience in channel or distributor sales
Experience in the agricultural sector
