Account Manager(s) (Full Time) – USA
The Connecterra Commercial Team is the bright and shiny face of our company. We keep business flowing so that our Product Team can focus on nurturing Ida; an artificial intelligence that is improving farm productivity.
As Account Managers aka. Sales Superstars you will get to engage across the agriculture supply chain, as well as manage a working relationship with farmers and internal management. You will need to work fast, learn quickly, and move opportunities to closure.

The team is led by our Sales Director, Leonie ten Dam, so you will have access to the most relevant industry and sales experience with her as your pioneer!
What will you be selling?
By 2050, the world will have 10bn+ people. We need to improve food production by 60% to meet this demand.
Our first product, Ida, is a dairy farmers’ assistant that uses Artificial Intelligence to improve farm productivity—we have clearly demonstrated that Ida improves farm productivity.
Ida does this by learning the behavior of dairy cows and dairy farmers. Ida uses its own sensing capabilities and data from multiple sources to provide farmers with insights on animal health, while improving labour capabilities and operational decision making. Ida provides insights to farmers and recommendations, just like an assistant would.
What is the purpose of sales in Connecterra?
Currently, there are over 300 million dairy cows in the world and over 750 million workers associated with dairy farming. If we could, we’d reach all of them, but we need a little help.
Sales helps us reach our customers and demonstrates how Ida can help them become more productive, improve their labour capability, and generally help the world become a better place.
Who will you be selling to?
From Fortune 500 customers, such as dairy processors, feed and pharmaceutical companies through to direct farmer sales. We are looking for multiple types of account managers. If you like getting your hands dirty and visiting individual åfarmers, we’ve got a spot for you. Or if you prefer jet-setting across the world meeting large corporations and partners, we’ve got a spot for you too!
What are we looking for?
We could go on about a list of things we ‘require’ but what is most important to us is that you have a burning desire inside of you to make a difference in the world.
The ideal fit for this role will have an unrelenting aspiration to convince customers of the benefits of a ground-breaking product and be able to do this every day.
English and a second language, preferably Spanish, is great. You must have previously managed a quota and proven that quotas are no match for your sales skills. We need to see hustle, tact and an understanding of why people buy what they do.
Experience in the dairy sector is an advantage. In other words, if you like the smell of “outdoor adventure” (aka cows) and understand how farmers think, then we want to hear all about it!
