Get your Farm on with Farming Simulator 15 video game

October 17, 2014

If you’re interested in farming, but don’t know a tractor from a harvester then maybe Farming Simulator 15 is for you. A new edition of the popular video game series will be release on October 30. New equipment in this edition includes a selection of vehicles and tools that will allow you to “discover the freedom of woodcutting” (You just can’t make this stuff up).

However, if you can’t wait until then they’ve release a trailer called: A Day On the Farm. From harvesters to tractors, from fields to chickens, from cows to bales of hay, this guided tour will give you an idea of the numerous daily activities awaiting you in the new generation of Farming Simulator.

Farming Simulator really gets into it. Plant wheat of canola and sell it in the market; mow grass, tedder and windrow it to create bales of hay to feed your cows, and then sell that milk to the highest bidder; or sell grass of chaff at the biogas plant. And if that’s too much work for you, you can hire computer controlled minions to do your bidding as you build your farming empire.

And the fun doesn’t stop there. With the new edition you can access hundreds of acres of land offered by the new Nordic environment. And for you big machine lovers, Farming Simulator lets you use and drive over 140 authentic vehicles and farming tools, from over 40 most famous manufacturers (including 20 new brands): New Holland, Ponsse, Case IH, Deutz-Fah. Unfortunately for all of you that bleed green, they don’t seem to carry Deere.

Farming Simulator is the surprise cult hit produced by Giants Software, a Swiss video game studio out of Zurich. It looks like we’ll have to wait to see if Farm Simulator 16 includes Colorado’s new horticulture industry.
