Trace Register won the contest entitled “Rethink Supply Chains: The Tech Challenge to Fight Labor Trafficking” held by San Francisco-based Humanity United.

Representatives from the three startups spoke at the Future Food-Tech conference in the same week that Beyond Meat released its new burger into Whole Foods and Hampton Creek revealed it’s raising $200m in new funding.
This week, PURE Bioscience raises $1.27 million, while Farmers Edge gets another $3.2m, hyperspectral drone imagery company Gamaya raises $3m, and five food e-commerce startups from the Europe, Asia and the US raise $131m collectively. Impossible Foods is also on the road for $200m.
